Rob Chapman Directors History

 

Robert Chapman started out in roofing way back in 1978 as a young 8 year old boy accompanying his father during school holidays.  Looking up from his Spiderman book now and then , he was gradually starting to get the roofing bug.

 

He left school in 1985 at the age of 15 and knew exactly what he wanted to do as career. With years of knowledge under his belt already at 17 he had his own roofing gang together.

 

The next three years were all about improving and learning new skills and roofing methods.

 

In January 1990, he received a call from his father who was working in Gibraltar on an M.O.D contract. This is where basically it all started. He started work with Baman Ltd

taking on M.O.D work as well as other contracts around Gibraltar.

 

In 1991, he was working for key personnel carrying out and running their roofing section. and following a change in his life in 1992, he joined The Gibraltar Regiment. After five years away from roofing, he left the Regiment and returned to roofing in 1997, working for Topgem Ltd.

 

 

In 2001, Robert decided to take the bull by the horns and start up Southern Point Roofing Ltd
